Fort Sheridan, located on Chicago’s North Shore, was identified as surplus military property in 1989 and contained a 94- building National Historic Landmark District designed by the architectural firm of Holabird and Root. The Town of Fort Sheridan Company was chosen in 1996 to redevelop the 138- acre site while maintaining the historic character of the property through adaptively renovating the historic landmark buildings. The resulting development includes 551units of new townhouses, condominiums, multi-family and single-family residences. In addition to being a development partner in the project, PMA has provided comprehensive day-to-day development management and oversight of the project.
