Sanford Consortium for Regenerative Medicine

La Jolla, California

Located in La Jolla’s Torrey Pines Mesa, Sanford Consortium for Regenerative Medicine (SCRM) is a new state of the art facility that now serves as a pure scientific collaboration in stem cell research by partners University of California San Diego, Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute, Salk Institute for Biological Studies, La Jolla Institute for Allergy & Immunology, and The Scripps Research Institute. Funded primarily by the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM) and through private donation by philanthropist Denny Sanford, the facility was developed to create a new research collaboratory that would catalyze multi-disciplinary cooperation as a means to the discovery and development of cures, therapies, diagnostics, and research tools and technologies.
