Project Management Advisors (PMA) believes that relationships built on trust achieve optimal results. With experience spanning nearly 30 years, PMA is a national firm with offices in Austin, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, San Diego, San Francisco and Orlando.  We operate with a staff of 200, including over 120 project professionals with expertise in multiple disciplines to provide a 360-degree perspective on every assignment.  Our skills are strengthened by our breadth of practical experience managing a broad range of projects across a wide range of industries. This experience has created a significant knowledge base that allows our team to consistently anticipate issues, understand potential impacts and provide proactive solutions.

    As one of PMA’s three founding principals, Mike believes that people define the PMA experience. He takes pride in the firm’s ability to attract and retain great people - people who are curious, who challenge themselves and who understand that collaboration isn’t just a word on our website, but is the very essence of how we do business.
     
    Mike’s experience in real estate development spans over 40 years and includes a broad range of complex projects across the US. A talented problem solver, Mike’s capacity for bold thinking and innovation are his hallmarks. He is expert at building consensus among disparate, multi-disciplinary teams to achieve client goals, and forming alliances to grow and expand the firm’s business. Mike applies his experience and knowledge to delivering consulting services to multiple clients and varied project types, and serves as the principal contact and delivery strategist for a large multi-family REIT client with a national portfolio. Mike holds a Bachelor of Arts and Economics from Knox College in Illinois.

    Roger is responsible for operations and service delivery across the firm, project planning and staffing, client relations, and business development.  As a key member of the executive team, he works in tandem with other executive members directing firm-wide operations and financial activities, implementing project management systems and procedures, and establishing corporate policies to advance the strategic goals of the firm. Highly regarded for his natural team leadership and consensus-building ability, Roger’s portfolio of experience is diverse, amassed over his 25+ years of experience in project management and owner representation, including projects in higher education, K-12, multi-family residential, corporate office, non-for-profit, retail, and municipal sectors. Roger holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Iowa State University.

    Allison plays a key role in service delivery and business growth in the Western Region, leading PMA's Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Francisco offices.  Allison has more than a decade of experience in project management, with a portfolio including luxury high-rise apartment and condominium buildings, mixed-use commercial and office properties as well as various educational facilities and campuses strengthens her leadership of people and project teams. Allison holds a Bachelor of Science from Ohio State University and a Master of Architecture from the University of California at Berkeley.

Ken's specific expertise of the unique facilities requirements of the biopharmaceutical, biotechnology, and healthcare industry as well as his leadership, supported by a team of multi-disciplined professionals, PMA is recognized throughout the Southern California market as a top-tier provider of project management consulting within Life Sciences.  Ken holds a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from San Diego State University and a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

    Ted’s experience in management, consulting, and engineering encompasses all phases of real estate development and spans more than 20 years. His portfolio includes a broad range of product types that range from hospitality, commercial and education to large-scale infrastructure and complex redevelopment projects for clients in the United States and the United Kingdom. He serves an integral role overseeing the delivery of services and managing relations with several key PMA clients, including a large European entertainment company, a multi-family REIT client with a national portfolio, and a county government client. Ted holds a Master of Science in Construction and Engineering Management from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.  He is also a California registered Professional Civil Engineer.

Prior to PMA, Sonnet was the Vice President of Design and Construction at NBC Universal where she was responsible for overseeing all design, development, construction, and related capital planning at the iconic 400+ acre lot and DreamWork’s West Coast Studio Operation. Sonnet holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Southern California.

Doug was drawn to PMA’s people and the level of intellectual curiosity that cultivates creative solutions for the client and ultimately a successful project outcome.

    Doug is a respected leader in the healthcare industry with over 40 years of experience in complex, large scale new/renovated healthcare projects, demonstrating his skills as a designer, educator and researcher. He will lend his expertise in healthcare planning, design, construction and regulatory compliance to PMA’s growing roster of healthcare clients and position the firm to serve the evolving needs of healthcare developments now and well into the future. Doug holds a Masters of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Detroit/Mercy in Detroit, Michigan.

Kevin has a Masters of Science in Engineering Management at Missouri University of Science and Technology and an MBA from National University.

Melissa holds a Master of Science in Engineering and Management from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering from the United States Naval Academy.

    Tom plays a key role in the strategic growth of the office, working closely with firm leadership on all aspects of service delivery, client relations, staff mentoring and development, resource planning, and office operations. With over 30 years of experience, Tom has built a reputation for managing highly complex projects, particularly in technically savvy environments.  As the team leader for a large utility client and a multinational technology company, he applies his extensive technical and architectural design expertise to these clients’ most challenging project demands to deliver innovative efficiencies while fulfilling project goals. Tom holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Cincinnati in Ohio and is a California-licensed Architect.

    As a results-driven professional with 40+ years of diverse real estate industry experience, Alice’s portfolio includes a broad array of project types with development and design complexity and high performance demands, including residential multi-family, transit oriented mixed-use, biotechnology research and development, commercial office, and industrial development. She brings a broad level of development expertise and strong leadership skills to her role as a senior team leader for a large, multi-family REIT client with a national portfolio. Alice holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and is a member of the American Institute of Architects.

    Joshua had over 30 years of experience managing significant healthcare, research, and university capital programs and projects in the New York metropolitan area. Josh joined PMA as Vice President & General Manager, New York, via the acquisition of LPE Management Services, to lead PMA’s new team in New York as part of a strategic expansion. He lead new business development efforts, mentorship, client relations, and overall service delivery. Prior to founding LPE in 2007, Josh was a founding member of Rand Engineering and LPE Engineering.

    Steve Ruggiero has over 38 years of experience in the construction industry working for some of the largest developers in New York City. He has managed a variety of high-end projects valued at over 3.5 billion dollars including large hotels, mixed-use, complicated alterations, residential buildings, restoration of historical and landmark structures, airport and private school expansions, as well as commercial construction. Steve specializes in navigating complex projects by bringing a high level of expertise to understanding client objectives, organizing project teams and building consensus to meet the project goals. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management and Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.

    Matt has over 25 years of transactional, development and legal experience in the real estate industry.  With a strong design and development skillset, as well as a results-driven orientation, he has a proven track record of delivering successful projects and completing complex transactions.  Matt utilizes his deep experience and ownership-focus to drive projects from design through closeout and is regarded for his ability to cultivate and maintain meaningful long-term relationships.  His portfolio includes retail, entertainment, mixed-use and residential projects.  Prior to PMA, Matt was the managing principal at a highly regarded real estate consultancy specializing in complex in-fill transactions and development projects, designing and executing corporate roll-out programs, as well as investment and development opportunity sourcing.  Matt has a Juris Doctor from Tulane Law School and a Bachelor of Art from Tulane University.  He is also an Illinois Licensed Managing Real Estate Broker.

    Jill has over 25 years of experience in professional services marketing in the real estate industry. She oversees the firm’s marketing and communications strategies and programs, develops and implements marketing procedures, collaborates on business development efforts and operational initiatives, and manages the activities of the corporate marketing team. Working with internal and external teams, she directs the development of a wide range of activities while maintaining the firm’s brand identity in areas including firm credentials, email marketing, website content, photography, proposals, presentations, internal communications, technology platforms, promotions, corporate events, public relations and social media.  Jill holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from DePaul University in Illinois.

As a leader, his strong philosophy of focusing energy on being a positive team member contributes to his success as a manager of critical project groups.  Robert earned a Bachelor of Building Construction from Auburn University in Alabama.

    Jeff brings 20 years of experience in real estate development and owner representation to his role as a senior PMA team member.  He has managed the planning, design and construction activities for a diverse range of commercial, residential and institutional real estate and building projects and plays a key role in the delivery of the firm’s services to an expanding client base. 

    As the relationship lead for a national multi-family residential developer, Jeff collaborates with the client’s internal staff and teams of design, construction, and engineering professionals throughout the development process to deliver projects that meet client goals and add value to their portfolio.  Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science in Advanced Technical Studies from Southern Illinois University.
