Founded in 1897, the Alliance Francais de Chicago is one of Chicago's oldest educational and cultural institutions. The institution's undertaking of a comprehensive facilities renovation included work in two adjacent buildings at the northwest corner of Chicago Avenue and Dearborn Street. The plan included renovation of a 150-seat auditorium, classrooms, offices, library, and additional facilities to house the educational and cultural programs offered by the Alliance. To facilitate circulation and to meet ADA standards, a two-story "link" building was added, creating a direct, fully-accessible route from the Dearborn building to the Chicago Avenue building. In addition to project management services, PMA also assisted in preparing the support documents for the Fund Raising Package and grant applications for the project, and monitored the project budget for compliance with established fundraising goals.
