Scripps Health - Waples Resource Lab

The Waples Resource Lab serves as an inpatient and outpatient testing facility in San Diego, California.  Originally located in Scripps Green Hospital, the Waples Resource Lab was moved offsite to provide room for the relocation of the hospital pharmacy.  Scripps Health retained Project Management Advisors, Inc. (PMA) to provide project management services and represent Scripps Clinic in a turnkey lease agreement managed by Veralliance Properties. 

During the six month construction, PMA managed the 14,000 square foot tenant improvement, including the integration of security, IT, audio/visual and the addition of an emergency generator to the design.  PMA also managed the tenant specific permit process for the emergency generator, wastewater and HazMat business plan.  PMA coordinated tenant driven changes, reviewed and made recommendations on change requests that fell outside the turnkey lease and coordinated the scheduling of separate Scripps vendors.  To ensure the project remained on schedule, PMA developed an “Action Items” list to organize and coordinate the decision making process within Scripps Health’s internal departments.
