This project converted an existing 41,000 square foot office building located in Seaport Centre, to a life sciences, research and development facility for OncoMed Pharmaceuticals. OncoMed had outgrown their existing facility in Mountain View, and quickly needed to establish a world-class facility to accommodate their growing research and development operations. Upon locating a suitable building, Project Management Advisors, Inc. (PMA) was retained to provide project management services to facilitate a smooth transition into the new space. The scope of the project included all new mechanical, electrical and process piping systems to support the new life sciences tenant. To accomplish this, the landlord retained PMA to construct an 8,000 square foot service annex connecting this building to an adjacent building. The improvements included approximately 24,000 square foot of lab, specialized research space and an update to the remaining 16,000 square foot of existing office improvements.
