The Rock Church and Academy at Liberty Station is the new home for this dynamic San Diego based Christian church. The new facility was built from the reconstruction of an existing 285,000 GSF three story building and is comprised of an approximately 3,500 seat sanctuary and a K-12 academy for up to 2,000 students. Project Management Advisors, Inc. (PMA) served as owner's representative on behalf of the church, overseeing and managing the project through property acquisition, site, sanctuary and academy programming, design, municipal approvals, construction and occupancy.
The Liberty Station site for the Rock Church facility was the former San Diego Naval Training Center, redeveloped by the City of San Diego Redevelopment Agency into a 361-acre mixed-use and residential urban village and vital waterfront community. In addition to serving as home to the Rock Church, Liberty Station also includes homes, parks and open spaces, offices, retail, hospitality, entertainment, cultural, and educational facilities.
