In anticipation of an upcoming spin-off from Agilent Technologies, Verigy, a leading provider of semiconductor testing equipment, began looking for a suitable headquarters and selected Project Management Advisors, Inc. (PMA) to assist in the property search process and to provide project management for the subsequent tenant improvements and relocation activities.
The chosen building required significant upgrades to accommodate Verigy’s needs, including extensive electrical and chilled water distribution upgrades for the semiconductor test equipment. The scope also included the construction of open office space, conference rooms, a variety of research areas, and customer training and demo facilities. PMA managed the design and construction of the improvements, as well as the relocation of Verigy operations from their existing location. After the success of this first phase of work, PMA managed the design and construction of a second phase, which incorporated a cafeteria with a self serve food counter and a multi-purpose room for the building occupants.
