Project Management Advisors, Inc. (PMA) was retained by a leading provider of intermodal highway and logistic services to provide full scope project management for the delivery of a new 15,350 square foot addition to an existing trucking site operations facility. This project includes a tight budget, critical schedule deadlines and allowed only five months for full design, construction and occupancy to meet an occupancy date that coincides with lease termination at another facility.
This mission critical facility contains critical operations and load dispatchers, in addition to servers and network systems that serve as the central data center for the nationwide network. As such, a new 500kW generator and automatic transfer switch was procured, installed and commissioned, as well as a new UPS system, complete with battery backup and maintenance bypass. Prior to substantial completion, owner commissioning will be completed, which will include the mission critical power and mechanical systems.
