Following Agilent Technologies Inc.’s acquisition of Strategene, Project Management Advisors, Inc. (PMA) collaborated with Agilent to develop a schedule to integrate and align the Stratagene offices with Agilent’s current office standards. The resulting two-phase schedule enabled staff to remain on site and the facility operating throughout the project, thereby mitigating the downtime and moving cost of a temporary relocation.
In response to an increase in project scope, PMA integrated a third phase of work into the schedule and leveraged the design and construction team synergies already in place. In addition to design and construction phase management, PMA managed furniture and fixture procurement, security upgrades, and IT infrastructure. Through proactive schedule and budget management, PMA met the critical schedule and budget goals that were key to the project’s success. Strong team leadership and creative problem-solving allowed the project to be delivered on time and within +2% of Agilent’s budget goal.
