Agilent Technologies, Inc., the world’s largest test and measurement company, relocated its headquarters and research and development labs component from other Bay Area locations to its Santa Clara campus. The campus remodel project involved approximately 415,000 square feet of the total 825,000 square foot campus.
The first phase of construction began with the data center relocation. Phase II included the relocation of 30,000 square feet of wet and dry lab environments and associated office space. The third and final phase of the project included the remaining office space, seismic improvements, new lobby, cafeteria, auditorium, and executive spaces. Project Management Advisors, Inc. (PMA) also previously managed approximately 80,000 square feet of construction at this same campus for life science labs, a conferencing center and general office space.
The relocation of Agilent Labs and Headquarters allowed Agilent to significantly reduce their Bay Area footprint and associated real estate costs. PMA’s relationship with Agilent continues today, providing full-time, on-site project administration services for the Santa Clara site, and as-needed staffing for facility projects within California.
