Accretive Headquarters Expansion

On behalf of Accretive Health, Inc., a Chicago based healthcare consulting firm, Project Management Advisors, Inc. (PMA) managed the expansion of their corporate headquarters at 401 North Michigan Avenue. The expansion included the addition of the 26th floor (approximately 22,000 square feet of space) to their existing 27th floor office space by way of a new communication stair between the two floors. This project also entailed the expansion of their live server room, the addition of a new coffee bar and lounge on the 27th floor as well as new carpet, workstations and paint throughout the 27th floor.

PMA worked closely with senior management to ensure that all program, budget, and schedule needs were achieved. PMA was responsible for the contractor procurement process that generated a 30% savings in construction cost compared to recently established benchmark. PMA was also responsible for managing the delivery of this project in an fully occupied office environment under a very aggressive two month construction schedule, while concurrently managing labor strike issues, vendor coordination (furniture, tele/data, security, movers, etc.), project accounting and cost controls throughout the projects duration.
