PMA to Manage San Diego County Operations Center Redevelopment

The San Diego County Board of Supervisors today officially approved the largest public works project in the history of San Diego County by accepting the developer's (Lowe Enterprises) Disposition and Development Agreement for the County Operations Center and redevelopment, sale of the County’s Annex Site and certified the project’s Environmental Impact Report.  The County has hired Project Management Advisors to manage the phased redevelopment over the next six years.

Redevelopment is now set to begin on the 37-acre County Operations Center site into a $531.1 million campus plus associated bond-financing costs with approximately 900,000 square feet of office space.  All buildings will be built to LEED Silver Certification standards. Plans call for demolishing the existing buildings at the site (470,000 square feet) and replacing them with six 150,000-square-foot office buildings, a 20,000-square-foot conference center and cafeteria, two seven-level parking structures, and a central plant that will provide the mechanical systems to run the entire campus.
