PMA Selected for La Rabida Children’s Hospital Ambulatory Care Addition & Renovation
Following the successful completion of the inpatient room renovations of the South Wing at La Rabida Children's Hospital, PMA was recently selected again to manage the hospital's ambulatory care facility renovation and addition, a project that entails renovation of an existing 8,000 square foot facility and a 13,000 square foot addition. Scheduled for completion in September 2013, the renovated and expanded facility will provide the space and technology for La Rabida to deliver the most comprehensive medical care to their patients as their needs and medical technologies evolve and change over time.
PMA services include the development of the procurement strategy for architect and general contractor services, including the request of proposal (RFP) development, evaluation of submittals, consultant selection, and contract negotiation. PMA will provide overall management of the schedule and budget from pre-design through construction and closeout, and will also coordinate the required regulatory and municipal approvals for the project with the Illinois Public Health Department, Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board, Chicago Park District, and the City of Chicago.
