PMA Announces New Team Member, Craig Backhus, Vice President

Craig joins the PMA San Diego office with 30 years of experience in the design, construction and real estate development industry. He is a nationally accredited Licensed Architect who has successfully assembled and managed multinational teams and delivered projects throughout North and South America, Asia and Europe. Throughout his career, Craig has successfully managed and completed numerous commercial, industrial, residential and hospitality construction projects, and achieved the client's schedule, cost, program and quality objectives.

Craig's success in project delivery is attributable to his commitment, focus and experience managing business planning, entitlement and design phase activities. It is these early phase activities that Craig believes will determine a project's ultimate success. Successes or failures encountered during the construction phase are usually a direct result of leadership qualities and management skills exhibited during the planning, design and approval phases of a project.

Prior to joining PMA, Craig was a Corporate Vice President, Development Management for Marriott Vacation Club International, the world's largest developer of vacation ownership properties, overseeing all project management, field operations, schedules, budget adherence and quality control in the Western United States and Pacific Rim.
