    Drawn to PMA’s reputation for high quality clients, projects, and alignment with PMA’s cultural values, Rob feels that the firm’s integrity and it’s collaborative approach - seeking input, alignment and buy-in from the entire project team, maximizes positive results to realize a client’s vision. 

    With over 25 years of experience in the real estate industry as an architect and owner’s representative for a wide range of product types, Rob manages the operations of the San Francisco office and oversees service delivery for the diverse and demanding requirements of the industries that dominate the market, including technology and life sciences. His in-depth market perspective, success at building deep client relationships, and mentoring and developing the San Francisco team has contributed to the firm’s growth and expansion in the Northern California Bay Area. Rob holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, a Certificate in Investment Real Estate from the University of California, Irvine and is a California licensed Architect.

    Gene is one of the three founding principals of PMA, and believes the greatest accomplishment the firm has achieved is creating a culture of trust.

    More than 40 years of diverse real estate industry experience in project management, development, asset management and construction management distinguishes Gene as a knowledgable authority whether providing principal oversight on client projects, guiding strategic business initiatives or providing counsel on firm activities including financial operations and reporting, business development and recruiting and professional development. Gene holds a Master of Management from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Illinois, Chicago. He is also an Illinois licensed Architect and Illinois licensed Real Estate Broker.

    Jeffrey Marcowitz

    As one of the three founding principals of PMA, Jeff takes pride in the firm’s long-standing reputation of operating with a high sense of integrity and commitment to fairness, and to the firm’s ability to consistently develop and maintain lasting relationships that lead to successful projects.

    Jeff’s accumulated industry experience and development expertise over 40 years guides his strategic oversight and delivery of services for a wide range of clients. As the principal contact for a large healthcare REIT client, Jeff manages overall strategy and leads the project teams for all development activities including planning, design, and construction for new multi-building campuses and redevelopments, facility acquisitions, and capital improvements for life sciences, business, and medical office developments across the client’s US portfolio. Jeff also plays an integral role in defining and implementing the firm’s technology capabilities and initiatives including its web-based project management system. Jeff holds a Master of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He is also an Illinois (inactive) and Wisconsin licensed Architect and holds a certificate from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.

    Roger McCarron

    Roger believes that clients value PMA’s willingness and ability to deliver timely, accurate information and advice, even when it's not the easy road to take.  He is gratified by the personal growth and success of others in the firm, especially those who have developed from entry level team members to become key leaders on large, complicated projects.

    Roger is the managing principal of PMA’s Chicago office, responsible for project planning and staffing, client relations, business development, and managing local team members. As a key member of the executive team, he works in tandem with other executive members directing firm-wide operations and financial activities, implementing project management systems and procedures, and establishing corporate policies to advance the strategic goals of the firm. Highly regarded for his natural team leadership and consensus-building ability, Roger’s portfolio of experience is diverse, amassed over his 25+ years of experience in project management and owner representation, including projects in higher education, K-12, multi-family residential, corporate office, non-for-profit, retail, and municipal sectors. Roger holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Iowa State University.

    Ken believes that PMA’s commitment to collaboration is evidenced by the firm’s ability to successfully deliver complex projects coordinated among large multi-disciplined project teams, while keeping an open mind and clear focus on client objectives.
     
    Ken brings 30+ years of industry experience in project management and owner representation to his role as Managing Principal of the San Diego office, with specific expertise of the unique facilities requirements of the biopharmaceutical, biotechnology and healthcare industry.  Under his leadership and supported by a team of multi-disciplined professionals with experience in a wide array of project types, PMA is recognized throughout the Southern California market as a top-tier provider of project management consulting for individual, developer, and investor clients from a diversity of industries, including life sciences, higher education, corporate, hospitality, and residential.  Ken holds a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from San Diego State University and a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

    Mike’s experience in real estate development spans over 40 years and includes a broad range of complex projects across the US. A talented problem solver, Mike’s capacity for bold thinking and innovation are his hallmarks. He is expert at building consensus among disparate, multi-disciplinary teams to achieve client goals, and forming alliances to grow and expand the firm’s business. Mike applies his experience and knowledge to delivering consulting services to multiple clients and varied project types, and serves as the principal contact and delivery strategist for a large multi-family REIT client with a national portfolio. Mike holds a Bachelor of Arts and Economics from Knox College in Illinois.

    Anthony was attracted to PMA by its unique culture and ability to work with colleagues from richly diverse backgrounds and a wide range of expertise.  

    His professional real estate experience in both project management and architectural design has created a deep portfolio ranging from commercial office to financial operations to research facilities. Anthony is the primary contact and team leader for a large biopharmaceutical client in the San Francisco Bay Area. His experience and immersion in the biopharmaceutical and biotech industry has provided him with valuable knowledge of the challenges and opportunities faced by companies in this market. Anthony combines this practice with building long term client relationships, and mentoring and developing talented staff to identify new opportunities and help to grow the firm’s business. Anthony holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley.

    Leon has more than 15 years of experience in the development and construction industry with a portfolio that includes a wide variety of projects for hospitality, commercial office, industrial, biomedical research, retail, religious facilities and residential development. Leon manages the operations of the Orlando office, assembles and leads project teams to achieve client goals, and develops relationships to expand the firm’s business throughout the Southeast region. His market knowledge and business development skills have contributed to the growth and diversification of the PMA portfolio in the region. Leon holds a Master of Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University and a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction from the University of Florida.

    Matt embraces PMA's focus on building authentic relationships and knows that clients rely upon this core value when selecting an owner’s representative. He believes that optimal results are achieved through strong relationships built on transparency, honesty and objectivity. 

    Matt brings over 15 years of well-rounded industry experience in real estate development, entitlements, design, construction, and financial analysis to his role as a senior PMA team member. As a main point of contact for various institutional investors and a large healthcare REIT, Matt combines his knowledge of the development process with creative problem solving to successfully meet client needs.  Matt has delivered projects ranging from ground up campus developments to complex urban high rise assignments.  He has also managed tenant improvement, redevelopment and capital improvement projects including office, industrial, retail and multi-family residential. Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a concentration in Real Estate, from San Diego State University.

    As a practiced professional with 25 years of experience as an architect and owner’s representative, Jerry’s portfolio includes complex projects for corporate, commercial, government, higher education and institutional clients. He brings design expertise and collaboration to his role leading large multi-disciplined teams through planning to occupancy for a large life sciences REIT client. Jerry holds a Master of Architecture from Tulane University in Louisiana and a Bachelor of Fine Art from the School of The Art Institute of Chicago in Illinois.  He also is a licensed Architect in Illinois, Colorado, North Carolina, and Massachusetts.

    With more than 30 years of industry experience, Tom came to PMA as a result of the high levels of quality and professionalism he encountered when working on projects with the firm. He feels that clients are attracted to these same qualities, finding exceptional value in the depth and breadth of experience PMA brings to a project.

    Tom is a recognized industry leader specializing in corporate interior design and offers a high level of marketplace knowledge regarding the unique requirements of commercial and corporate interior projects of varying sizes and design complexities. As a former Principal and Director for a Chicago design firm, and in other leadership roles throughout his career, he has overseen firm operations, directed and managed both internal and external project teams to achieve client goals, and contributed to business growth by developing lasting client relationships. Tom holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Ball State University in Indiana and is an Illinois licensed Architect.

    Ted’s experience in management, consulting, and engineering encompasses all phases of real estate development and spans more than 20 years. His portfolio includes a broad range of product types that range from hospitality, commercial and education to large-scale infrastructure and complex redevelopment projects for clients in the United States and the United Kingdom. He serves an integral role overseeing the delivery of services and managing relations with several key PMA clients, including a large European entertainment company, a multi-family REIT client with a national portfolio, and a county government client. Ted holds a Master of Science in Construction and Engineering Management from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.  He is also a California registered Professional Civil Engineer.

    Russell has 20+ years of experience in construction management, coordinating and leading project teams through planning, design and construction on a diverse portfolio that includes residential, hospitality, retail, office, higher education, healthcare, biotech and public works projects. He brings a high level of expertise to understanding client objectives, organizing project teams and building consensus to meet the project goals. Russ holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Roger Williams College in Rhode Island.

He combines this experience with in-depth institutional knowledge of multi-phase projects to serve as the key contact for a large county government entity. Recognized as an absolute owner advocate, Bruce collaborates with the client’s staff of planners, architects, engineers, construction professionals and private sector construction companies to successfully implement program requirements for multiple county departments. Bruce holds a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design from Ball State University in Indiana and is a California licensed Architect.

    With over 30 years of experience, Tom has built a reputation for managing highly complex projects, particularly in technically savvy environments.  As the team leader for a large utility client and a multinational technology company, he applies his extensive technical and architectural design expertise to these clients’ most challenging project demands to deliver innovative efficiencies while fulfilling project goals. Tom holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Cincinnati in Ohio and is a California licensed Architect.

She brings a broad level of development expertise and strong leadership skills to her role as a senior team leader for a large, multi-family REIT client with a national portfolio. Alice holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and is a member of the American Institute of Architects.

    Jill has more than 20 years of experience in professional services marketing in the real estate industry. She oversees the firm’s marketing and communications strategies and programs, develops and implements marketing procedures, collaborates on business development efforts and operational initiatives, and manages the activities of the corporate marketing team. Working with internal and external teams, she directs the development of a wide range of activities while maintaining the firm’s brand identity in areas including firm credentials, email marketing, website content, photography, proposals, presentations, internal communications, technology platforms, promotions, corporate events, public relations and social media.  Jill holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from DePaul University in Illinois.

    Jeff brings 20 years of experience in real estate development and owner representation to his role as a senior PMA team member.  He has managed the planning, design and construction activities for a diverse range of commercial, residential and institutional real estate and building projects and plays a key role in the delivery of the firm’s services to an expanding client base. 

    As the relationship lead for a national multi-family residential developer, Jeff collaborates with the client’s internal staff and teams of design, construction, and engineering professionals throughout the development process to deliver projects that meet client goals and add value to their portfolio.  Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science in Advanced Technical Studies from Southern Illinois University.
