Professional Development

Professional development is important to our culture at PMA. We've recently expanded our investment in professional and skill development through a formal curriculum program called PMAcademy, where staff members will be able to select among a diverse offering of courses to strengthen their knowledge and skills.

We support participation in industry and professional organizations such as American Institute of Architects (AIA), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), BayBio, BIOCOM, CoreNet, Urban Land Institute (ULI), International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Society for College and University Planning (SCUP) and US Green Building Council (USGBC), just to name a few.

We also believe that sharing experiences is a valuable learning and team-building tool so we hold monthly forums to share information and insights gained on unique project assignments, or bring in industry experts for presentations.

We recognize that sustainability is becoming increasingly important, so in 2007, PMA implemented a LEED initiative whereby all project staff will be LEED Accredited Professionals by July 2008.
